Dainty Doll - Nicola Roberts Blusher Review

I did a Fragrance Direct Haul about a month back and promised a review of my Dainty Doll items so here it is!
These are the two powder blushers I purchased in the colours 'My Girl' and 'You Are My Sunshine'. They're both gorgeous colours and as I'm ridiculously pale, I loved the idea that these colours were put together with specifically pale people in mind so therefore should compliment my skin tone! Both colours are pretty scary looking. 'My Girl' is a bright glittery pink and 'You Are My Sunshine' is a really sparkly reddish, bronze colour!

Here are both blushers swatched with 'My Girl' on the left and 'You Are My Sunshine' on the right. As you can see, they are really pigmented, not like those blushers that you have to swirl your brush in for a good five minutes before you get any colour whatsoever!
And again with the flash. All in all, I love these blushers and have been going between the two since I bought them a month ago. They are extremely pigmented so it's easy to be a bit too heavy handed and end up looking like a clown but that's simply something you just have to learn to adjust to. I think I prefer 'My Girl' as it's a pretty pink that I think you can tell in the picture above goes with my skin tone a lot better. At the moment I'm not really sure I can pull of the bronzier tones of 'You Are My Sunshine' and it is SO sparkly. You definitely don't need highlighter with either of these at the risk of looking super shiny. They also last all day which is pretty amazing. I can get home after being out all day and my blusher still looks like I did when I put it on or maybe even slightly better because I think these do look a bit better when faded slightly and so are less abrupt! I defintely recommend them, especially at the bargain price of £1.99 instead of £13.50!

Fragrance Direct Haul (Dainty Doll, NYC, Revlon, L'Oreal)

I placed my first Fragrance Direct order a few days ago and thought I'd show you what I picked up! Being ridiculously pale, I've always wanted some items from Dainty Doll, the range by Nicola Roberts but it's so pricey I just couldn't fork out so much money for a blusher so when I saw that the whole collection was reduced dramatically I couldn't resist!
I purchased two of the powder blushes in the shades My Girl and You Are My Sunshine. My Girl is a really girly pink and You Are My Sunshine is a shimmery bronze kind of coral, both gorgeous colours. They were £1.99 each instead of £13.50 which is a massive saving of  £11.51! I also couldn't resist getting one of the kohl eyeliners aswell as they were only 99p which is a saving of £9.51! I got one in the colour Night Train which is a deep blue colour, hoping that it would compliment my blue eyes! I'll be doing a review post with swatches soon!
And of course I couldn't just buy three items, I ended up buying almost a complete new face of make-up! The brush is the bourjois mineral matte make-up brush and was only 99p, I just thought it might be nice to use to apply the new foundation as I don't really have a foundation brush. It was just small, cute and cheap so thought I'd find a use for it some where. Next, I got the L'Oreal minerals concealer in ivory for £1.99 (RRP £7.99). It's got SPF 25 and I just really like the idea of applying a powder concealer with a brush to avoid the pulling and tugging of rubbing a liquid concealer into such a delicate area. Unfortunately, the colour is noticeably too dark for me so isn't wearable which is a real shame because I love that it comes with a brush and it seems to last all day too. I've wanted this Revlon foundation for a while because I've heard a lot about it but I wanted the one for combination/oily skin which retails for £12.49 and Fragrance Direct didn't have it in my colour so being impatient I ordered the one for normal/dry skin for £7.95. I REALLY like this. It takes a lot for me to find a foundation pale enough for my ghostly skin but this is a great match. I won't say too much because I'll be making a separate review post soon!
I also couldn't resist picking up a new mascara having a ridiculous mascara obsession. I thought buying this might prevent me from spending more than I can afford on the Benefit They're Real mascara which I'm lusting after. It was only £1.99 but I'm not really a fan so far. The brush is a thin, long, plastic brush and the mascara itself has quite a wet, sticky consistency which I don't really like but I'll persevere - maybe it will grow on me!
