MUA nail varnish haul

MUA nail varnish shade 8, 3 and 23

I've wanted a red nail varnish for absolutely ages. I think red looks amazing on nails no matter whether it's summer or winter but I've just never got round to buying one so made sure I got one when I placed my order! I actually really like this red (shade 8). It's more of a wine red than a coral red and I can't wait to wear it. Shade 3 is a pinky purple colour and I really like the colour against my skin tone! It's very similar to the love hearts U R FAB nail varnish (see below) but £1 instead of £2 and there really is little difference. Annoyingly I actually already own this and hadn't realised even though I was actually wearing it when I ordered so now have two! (You would think it's common sense to check before you order!) Shade 23 is a really nice muted khaki green colour. I don't own anything like this and it's not something I'd usually go for but after seeing pictures of other people wearing it I just couldn't help myself! I love it!

MUA Love Hearts nail varnish in I <3 U and U R FAB

All of the love hearts nail varnishes are so cute, I wanted them all. They're quite feminine and sophisticated. I <3 U is a really nice peachy nude but being pale takes a few coats. U R FAB is very similar to the shade 3 nail varnish (above picture) which is a little annoying but this one is a bit more of a muted colour so I think I prefer it.

MUA Squiggle Effect Magnetic Nails - Mayfair

This is actually the only magnetic nail varnish I own which considering I have a crazy nail varnish obsession and magnetic ones have been around for ages is kind of stupid really! I just can't really be bothered to be hovering a magnet over my nails after I've spent forever painting them but I really liked this one so I'm just going to have to put up with the faffing that comes with it! It's a metallic blue colour and I prefer the squiggle effect to the circle effect ones that they do. The photo doesn't show up the magnetic effect too well, it looked better before it dried!

MUA nail varnishes are quite possibly my favourite. They're affordable with most being only £1, they have a massive range of colours and they last ages without chipping. I've had U R FAB on for almost a week now and it's only slightly chipped at the tips. They're definitely worth the small price tag! They have everything from fur effect nails to constellation nails. I already have a list of others that I want!!

I want this look...

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara

I've been using this Rimmel mascara since being sent it a couple of weeks ago. Lets be honest, first of all... it's not the most attractive of mascaras. The shiny plasticy luminous green isn't exactly pretty! Packaging aside, the mascara has quite a thin bendy brush which is completely different to what I'm used to with my Soap & Glory Thick and Fast. It allows you to get right into the inner corner and to the roots of your eyelashes which I like without it covering your eye lid. The formula is quite wet and takes a while to dry though and I found that there's quite a thin line between it looking OK and your whole eyelashes suddenly being stuck together and inseparable! It contains the grow lash complex (procapil, keratin and antioxidants) which claims to make lashes instantly 99% longer.

All in all though I actually quite like this mascara! It holds the curl well and lasts all day. I like the thin brush, it's really easy to use but I don't really see the "lash acceleration" and my lashes looked quite thin. It's a decent mascara that I still pick up sometimes but I haven't found a new favourite with it I'm afraid!

The mascara came out on the 23rd and is £7.99 in Boots

MUA - undressed eyeshadow palette

It's supposedly a £4 dupe of Urban Decay's Naked Palette so as I don't have the naked palette I'm so excited I've got this one!! I love that unlike some of their other palettes it has matte shades in too as well as the shimmer ones so you don't have to rummage around looking for a matte black or nude whilst doing a smokey eye! The colours are really pigmented and ideal for a more natural look. I'm a little bit in love!

Outfit of the day (and night)

I went away for a few days with my boyfriend to a cute little village where we could just get away from everything, eat nice food, shop and basically just spend some time together. I packed light(ish) and only took a few items of clothes I could accessories differently and thought I'd show you...

Day - shopping

Dipped hem top - Primark
Cross snood - Primark
Parka jacket - Ebay
Satchel bag - Matalan
Jeggings - Primark
Boots - Primark

Evening - meal

Shirt - Primark
Necklace - Primark
Jeggings - Primark
Boots - Primark
(I spend too much time in Primark)

I don't have a photo of my outfit from the second day but I wore the same jeggings, snood and boots with a black peplum top (Primark) and black blazer (you guessed it... Primark!)

Primark Haul

I have a ridiculous candle obsession and can't seem to come home from a shopping trip without one so when I saw this one in the home section reduced from £3.50 to £1 I just couldn't help myself!! It's white tea scented. I'm not sure if it actually smells like white tea because I haven't got a clue what white tea smells like but it smells good! It's pretty big too!

I jumped on the band wagon and bought the necklace every blogger seems to have! I've been eyeing it up for a while but I have an awful habit of buying jewellery that I never wear.

I originally went it for one of the silky skull scarves but came to the conclusion I couldn't pull them off so picked up this camo cross print snood instead. I actually adore it. It's my favourite thing ever and I can't wait to wear it! It was £4 which I wouldn't normally spend on a scarf because, as with the jewellery,  there's a good chance it will end up in the back of my wardrobe unworn but I just love it so had to grab it! I also picked up these socks. There should be 5 in the pack but 2 were missing so they were reduced from £2.50 to £1 something  I'm such a sucker for cute socks!

I've needed a new make-up bag for a while. All the topless lipsticks and eye liners, along with leaky foundation makes them messy so easily! After getting new make-up for Christmas and placing a massive MUA order (my next post will be a haul!) I felt my new make-up deserved a new make-up bag! I wasn't a massive fan of any of the make-up bags in Primark but liked how big this one was (it can actually fit my bare minerals foundation in!) and I like that the material is wipeable. It was supposed to be £3 but scanned at £1, making me a very happy bunny!!

Finally, I got this dippy hem top. It was the only one on the sale rack and the paper tag said it was a size 6. I'm about a size 8 but usually wear a 10 because I prefer my t shirts baggy. It was £2 from £4 though so grabbed it anyway hoping it would fit. When I got it home I realised that the actual sewn in tag says it's a size 8 and so it fits!! It's a bit annoying how see through it is, I couldn't get away with not wearing anything underneath so that's a bit of a pain but I do love it so I can cope with that!
